About The Trinity Women of Color Summit
This Spring, Trinity Women of Color will host our second annual summit! The summit will take place at the Trinity School in New York City on April 26th from 9:30am - 2:30pm. The summit is open to all Women of Color identifying students from the interschool community who have registered. The day will start with prominent speakers discussing their experience as a Women of Color in their respective fields followed by a Q and A. We will also have a student panel and workshops to foster collaboration and conversation between Women of Color students. The aim of this summit is to connect Women of Color communities across New York City, share experiences and stories, and empower student voices to advocate for equality.

Rachel Ten Brink
Rachel ten Brink is General Partner and co-founder of Red Bike Capital, an early stage Venture Capital fund based in New York that invests in AI, SAAS, Fintech and Health & Wellness. She is the co-founder of Scentibrd, a Y-Combinator backed ecommerce subscription that raised $29 million in venture funding. Rachel was CMO/CRO leading Growth and Revenue, scaling the company to $200+ million in revenue and signing over 74 enterprise partnerships. Rachel has been a board member and senior advisor for various companies and serves on the Board of Directors of Dyper. Before this, she spent 15 years as an operator building billion-brands at Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, and Procter & Gamble. Rachel serves as Chair of the Board of Latinas in Tech, holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, and graduated magna cum laude from Babson College.

Stephanie Diu, Trinity ‘12
Stephanie Diu is an alum of Prep for Prep, Contingent 28, and graduated from the Trinity School in 2012. At Trinity, she was a member of the swim and lacrosse teams. Stephanie graduated from Princeton University in 2016, where she studied Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and minored in Environmental Studies. She originally thought she'd become a marine biologist or doctor, but life can surprise you sometimes: she earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2023. She then clerked for the Honorable K. Michael Moore in the Southern District of Florida and is now an attorney in the Commercial Litigation group at Venable LLP.
Tatiana Pena, Trinity ‘97
Tatiana is responsible for managing LISC NY’s technical assistance services to its community-based partners, including stabilizing distressed affordable housing portfolios, developing new affordable housing, and rehabilitating existing affordable housing. Her responsibilities include analyzing a project’s overall needs, developing project-specific financing models, completing funding applications, negotiating with government agencies, and securing public financing. Tatiana has over 17 years of experience financing and closing on affordable housing developments. Prior to joining LISC NY, Tatiana was a project manager at Trinity Financial, where she was responsible for the redevelopment of a public housing complex. Previously, Tatiana was a Senior Community Development Officer at LISC NY, where she was a development consultant and loan officer, providing predevelopment, acquisition, and construction loans for affordable housing developments. Tatiana began her career in affordable housing at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). During her seven-year tenure as a Senior Project Manager in the Multi-Family New Construction Programs Unit of HPD, she provided city financing for over 30 multifamily new construction developments. Tatiana holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University.

Simone Oliver
Simone Oliver is a digital content strategist and former Global Editor-in-Chief at Refinery29 with 20+ years transforming media brands including The New York Times, Meta, Condé Nast and BET. Simone identifies cultural trends early, turning audiences into communities and fans into consumers. A blend of editorial vision and business acumen, she builds content strategies and partnerships across fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Through her consultancy, public speaking and style newsletter, Price Upon Request, she shapes the media's future while also serving on NYU's Center for Publishing advisory board.
Rachel Hislop
Rachel Hislop is a writer, editor, strategist, and public speaker whose knowledge of digital culture has aided in the growth of some of the biggest brands and celebrities to date. Most recently as the VP of Content of OkayMedia and Editor-in-Chief of both Okayplayer.com (the premier digital destination for music connoisseurs worldwide) and OkayAfrica.com (the largest media destination bridging African cultures across the diaspora), she revitalized their digital narratives to include a new, younger demographic and put forth an editorial strategy that bolstered both brands to never-before-seen figures. Before taking the helm at two celebrated cultural journalism entities, Hislop ushered in the unprecedented and now-historic growth of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s social media footprint. As the Digital Content Manager for Parkwood Entertainment—the management company founded by Knowles-Carter—she spearheaded content and social media strategy for the megastar’s self-titled album cycle, the visual opus Lemonade, The Formation World Tour, and the On The Run Tour. But what sets Hislop apart in her industry is her advocacy for others and a passion to reach back. As a former writer and editor for multiple publications—including but not limited to NYLON, GlobalGrind.com, and Refinery 29—she has made it her goal to support and cultivate the skills of other young journalists in the digital space. As a speaker/moderator at places like Instagram, Google, Global Citizen, AdWeek, and Stanford University, Hislop has shared a testimony that her success and growth are rooted in the lasting relationships she’s built by being a listener, a student, a connector, a mentor, and a mentee. Olivia Basu is a dynamic digital sales leader with 15+ years of experience driving growth in emerging and disruptive markets. Olivia Basu is currently an Industry Manager at Meta building high-performing teams, scaling businesses, and cultivating lasting client and partner relationships. Previously Basu was an Associate Manager for Bloomberg BusinessWeek where she managed the development, selling, and execution of strategic marketing programs, and the Coordinator of Merchandising and Marketing at MCGRAW HILL where she initiated a new revenue tracking model to forecast pricing and inventory for client sponsored programs. Basu is rooted in an a life philosophy that combines hard work, focus, empathy, and trust to achieve exceptional results.
